about
Specymen is the french psychedelic trance project from Gregory Antonovich, born in 1972 in Paris. In 1991, he went to his first rave party in Paris and discovered a music that would change his life. A totally new experience, but yet very familiar: an undescriptible feeling. In 1994 he started to buy vinyl records, always looking for a psychedelic feeling in music. He started to learn mixing and played at some parties, until somebody gave him a Roland alpha juno-2 keyboard. Thus, in 2001, he decided to buy some electronic music gears (atari 1040st, sampler, expander) and started to go deeper in sound. Designed to dance, each track is a journey into multiple soundscapes. A mix of light and shadow, blend of his own style and influences: something new, but yet very familiar. In 2011, Specymen has joined the Trance Lab Records family and release his first ep “Ad Infinitum”.
